Well we got our season underway with the first round of our 2009 championship, despite the rain that we had during the week the track drained well, and that combined with the hard work of our track team produced a good days racing, although it was a bit sticky to start.  Congratulations to Ziggy Pope who won the 100 club.  A big well done to the auto’s Edward Heather and Billy Wilson and Callunm Nicholas who rode well out with the Juniors.   Thanks to the member who lent us a jack to fix the puncture on the trailer and to the track clearance team for a quick and efficient clear up. 
 
Marshalling
 
Just about managed to cover the marshal points at Rusper, I am sorry to say that unless there is a significant increase in numbers it will not be possible to give marshals every other meeting off.  We are getting new members all the time so hopefully as the season goes on the situation will improve.   As records are kept over a long period of time when the membership picks up you will be credited for any additional duties you do now. 
 
Easter Meeting –Booking in is open to all so please book in ASAP
 
The Easter meeting is to be held at Gatwick, with trophies for all riders and lots of Easter eggs and other prizes to be given away, I hope it will be a fun weekend.  We plan to run an Easter egg hunt on Sunday evening, also an Easter Helmet parade before racing on Monday morning, Please be careful when sticking anything to your helmet that it will not compromise the safety.   Helmets can be decorated by brothers, sister or children of riders as well as by riders themselves

Tracks
If anyone knows of any land where we could use for a race meeting even if it is only once a year please let any committee member know.
